Chris Conz teaches courses in African history at Tufts University and writing seminars in African environmental studies at Boston University. He researches environmental history in southern Africa, especially the intersections of knowledge, agriculture, health, and development in Lesotho. His current book project, based on his PhD dissertation and subsequent research, is titled "Reshaping the Land: Environmental Ideas, Policies, and Practices in Lesotho, 1880-1970," now under contract with James Currey Publishers. He has scholarly articles published and forthcoming in Agricultural History, Environment & History, and the Journal of Southern African Studies.
