Christopher R. Conz
I am an experienced humanist, teacher, historian, and writer. In July 2024, I published my first book, titled "Environment, Knowledge, and Injustice in Lesotho: The Poverty of Progress." Currently, I am beginning new research as a Fulbright Scholar in South Africa, based at the University of the Free State for AY 2024-25. Having taught at the College of the Holy Cross and Tufts University, my courses cover vast African and global geographies, early and modern periods, and diverse historical themes such as environment, agriculture, development, health, science and technology, and sports. I have also published scholarly articles in Agricultural History, Environment & History, and the Journal of Southern African Studies.
